QEWS for Broadcast

Video servers lie at the heart of a modern broadcast system. The failure of a video server can be catastrophic and affect  the on-air or on-line signal if the failure is not noticed and appropriate action taken. In many cases there are indications of an impending catastrophic failure before it occurs.   

QEWS is an early warning system which makes use of the SNMP support provided by most modern broadcast servers (Quantel sQ, Omneon, K2) to warn of changes in system status or behaviour that could signify imminent failure.

QEWS is installed by Quarr Technology and configured to the broadcaster's specific system monitoring and alerting requirements.

QEWS can be integrated easily into any existing server system without disturbing existing content or operation.

QEWS can alert using audible alarms, email or SMS text messages to individuals or groups as required and can trigger external applications
